Inspired by the mysteries of nature, human emotion and the cosmos, Kim Booth’s sound journeys are ethereal, healing and intriguing; channelling sounds and vibrations that relax and balance mind, body, and spirit.
Based in Ibiza since 2003, Kim combines studies and experience of music, yoga, shamanism and sound healing into beautiful and unique sound journey offerings. Working with Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls – beautiful high quality bowls infused with precious crystals and metals – as well as drum, gong and chimes, she sings mantras from the yogic tradition, weaved with medicine songs of the camino rojo and her own songs. Her sensitive voice, described as healing, angelic and carrying higher vibrations, channels magical sounds from other realms, leaving you feeling elevated, soft and flowing.
“My first exploration into sound was via working in electronic music from the age of 18. For over 15 years I worked closely with some of the most respected DJs and producers of the movement. I am a deep listener and extremely perceptive and sensitive. I love the different sounds that come through in music – from the subtle to the intense – and how these sounds make me feel. Also, the concept of the sound journey, I learnt by listening to DJ sets and Live shows. How you begin, build, catch the energy and take it somewhere else, and how you bring it down… How the sounds resonate and dance together. It’s quite magical when the energy is touched in the right way.”
Since 2005 Kim has spent many winters travelling and learning. Immersing in communities, creative and esoteric trainings and learning from wisdom keepers around the world, including Esalen in Big Sur, The Moon Course at Las Pyramides in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, Inanitah in Nicaragua, Pachamama in Costa Rica, plus extensive travels and learning in North, Central and South America, Hawaii, Iceland, India, Thailand and many more. She is a 500 Hour plus trained yoga teacher, a Moon Dancer (Costa Rica) Vision Quester (Ibiza) and holds the sacred chanupa.
A unique weave of cultures, experience and energy makes Kim’s sound journeys a little different. Each sound journey is a prayer and creates a story based on the energies present, softly weaving through the elemental realms, inviting spirit and allowing imaginations to expand to the realms above.
Sharing regular sound journeys in magical spaces in Ibiza, she has also held crystal sound journeys and ceremonies at music festivals including Waking Life in Portugal, Houghton, Bestival, Amsterdam Dance Event, Medicine Festival, Lost Village and The Beat Hotel, plus a special sound journey at the Natural History Museum in London, under a giant full moon installation. As well as sound journeys in sacred natural spaces around the world – Shaman’s cave in Sedona, Tanit’s Cave and Es Vedra in Ibiza, Snaefellsness glacier in Iceland, The Chalice well in Glastonbury, Mount Bugarach in France and many more.
